History of East-West Logistics, Inc.

History of East-West Logistics, Inc.Sherry Wang came to the United States from her home in Nanjing, China in 1989. She came here not only to live, but also to utilize her many talents in pursuit of a successful and satisfying life in America.

In her first few years in the United States, Sherry was hired by a freight forwarding company and soon developed a true love for the logistics industry. After holding management positions with two major Freight Forwarding/Custom Broker organizations, Sherry decided to open her own company and bring new ideas to the industry. In 1996 Sherry opened her company called East-West Associates. The rest is history. Sherry is now the President and CEO of East-West Global Inc., the parent of four very successful logistics companies. Those companies include East-West Associates (Customs Brokerage), East-West Logistics (Freight Forwarding), East-West CFS (Warehousing and Distribution), and Shanghai East-West International Transportation Co. LTD. (Our seven-office China division).

The East-West Global organization, which started with one office and three employees in 1996, now has grown to seven offices and over 120 employees in the United States and China.

In building this very successful enterprise, Sherry says that one very important element of her business philosophy was key to her success. That philosophy was and continues to be, treat your clients with service that makes them want to come back for more. Make your clients believe through your words and actions that you care.

Sherry has worked with the Los Angeles Chinese Embassy and has been designated to receive trade delegations and offer ideas for cooperative investment. In fact, Sherry, along with other Southern California business leaders, accompanied Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villarigosa on a trade mission to China.
